Policy Memo | Combating the Opioid Crisis in Wisconsin
Two of my fellow students and I spent a semester researching the opioid crisis in Wisconsin and creating possible policy solutions using an analysis of goals, values, and fiscal impact.
Policy Memo | Groundwater Contamination in Southern Wisconsin
A memo written to the Chairman of the Speaker’s Water Task Force in the Wisconsin Legislature addressing contamination of groundwater in rural areas of the state. Several policy options are suggested and analyzed.
Research Paper | White Supremacist Terrorism and Media Framing
A semester-long research project regarding the preferential treatment of white terrorists in the media. This paper compares reception and coverage Islamic terrorists with recent white supremacist attacks by discussing media framing and psychological aspects.
Committee Testimony Example
A brief example of one of several committee testimonies written during my internship for State Senator Lena Taylor. This testimony focuses on a bill requiring free school lunch to students in public schools.

I interned for State Senator Lena Taylor in the summer of 2019 and then State Representative Chris Taylor in the Spring of 2020. I really value the experience of getting to observe the inner workings of a legislative body, as well as being able to contribute to policy making.

I was eager to participate in some way during the 2020 election, so I was happy to work with the DPW to recruit volunteers and lead direct voter contact events.
